How your humble merch mates became mates with the blokes at Your Mates.
1: Who is Your Mates?

2: How long have Your Mates been around?
Born on the Sunshine Coast in 2013, the Your Mates blokes have recently celebrated 10 years of mateship, taking the name from a coastal garage operation to one of Australia’s most popular independent beer companies. Not to mention the home of Larry Pale Ale, just voted in at #4 in the GABS Hottest 100 Aussie Craft Beers.
3: When did Thirsty Merchants first get involved?
We simply reached out via Facebook messenger! The next day we met the boys in their Nambour basement set up and the mateship was formed.
4: What products have we produced for Your Mates thus far?
The full gamut - T-shirts, drink coasters, stubby holders, tap decals, bar runners, custom bespoke signage, hats, beach towels, fishing shirts, marquees, tear drop flags, growlers, glassware, custom brand product packaging solutions, you name it.
5: What was the first project we worked on together?
First project kickstarted back in 2016 with drink coasters, resin tap decals and a ute full of screen printed white tees.
6: What was the BEST project ever worked on?
It would have to be live embroidery at the Meats for Mates charity day, where punters could donate to charity to buy merch and have their names embroidered right in front of their eyes. We raised a boatload of cash for the charity and had a ripper day out doing it.
7: Notable moments in the partnership?
Alongside Your Mates' rapid growth and success, TM have experienced growth as well! The boys are big on supporting local and as a result of this partnership we have likewise focused on keeping things local by increasing our in-house production capabilities with new machinery and operators. Sometimes Your Mates have small urgent last minute jobs where our in-house embroidery, screenprinting and direct-to-garment machines come in handy. Other times they're after large offshore orders and distribution, requiring us to scale to match their needs. Whatever the case we've been able to deliver and it's been a great journey of learning and discovery for us! The trust Your Mates have placed in us with their brand over the last 9 years has been incredible.
8: Where to from here? What does the future have in store for this ragged bunch of mates?
We look forward to working with Your Mates to push the envelope with exciting new standalone retail products - think branded can glasses and silicone coaster sets - available to purchase on their extremely popular ecommerce store. Further, we will continue to up the anti with custom packaging solutions that add an extra touch of premium to an already quality range of premium brand products that celebrate the Your Mates name in adventurous and unique ways.
With the core range of products, these remain relatively the same but it’s in how we 'finish' the products that makes all the difference. Your Mates' e-commerce store is going through the roof so when the stock lands in their raving fans hands, it isn’t just a shirt in a blank box. It’s all finished and packaged in custom eco friendly satchels, size labelled up and folded neatly once it comes out of the heat tunnel. This also helps out their growing warehouse team to quickly identify what they need to pack to help their lean management requirements.
